IPS e.max®

(Empress to the maximum) is the newest generation of all-ceramic products. Developed by Ivoclar, this extensive line includes zirconium and lithium dicilicute frame materials, pressing ingot (like Empress) that may or may not be pressed over a zirconium framework and a full conventional ceramic layering system. This system may be used in conjunction with the entire e.max product line.

Veneering over this zirconium frame provides a unique combination of the superior strength (900 mPH flexure strength) and the fit of pressed ceramic margin.  IPS e.max provides outstanding esthetics and predictable shade matching with even complex combination cases, as we can facilitate crowns, veneers and bridges utilizing the e.max system.

ADT is currently fabricating posterior units with a zirconium substructure. This is cut back for a 360º butt joint. e.max press ceramics overlay is most successfully used for final contour, esthetics and marginal integrity. All anterior restorations are fabricated with either a zirconium or lithium dicilicute frame, layered with e.max press and layering enamels. Upon request, we are happy to layer your posterior units for maximum esthetics.
